HANOVER, NH. - The Yale women's tennis team wrapped up day three of the Big Green Invitational with six more singles victories.
Against St. John's University, the Bulldogs won four out of the five matches played. Kathy Wang dominated in a two set victory, only dropping four total games. Raissa Lou won a three set thriller 5-7, 6-4, 12-10, despite dropping the first set. Vivian Cheng and Rhea Shrivastava both won the first set of their matches before their opponent retired.
The other three singles matches were against Ivy league foes Dartmouth. Chelsea Kung won in straights, taking the second set 6-0 to close things out. Rena Lin also dropped her first set before coming back to win 4-6, 7-6, 11-9.
This marks the last team event of the season. Jessie Gong and Samantha Martinelli, both of whom did not play this weekend, will play in the ITA Fall Nationals later this week in Newport Beach.
