Bulldogs Defeat Columbia 7-2
HARTFORD, Conn. — The Bulldogs defeated Columbia on Sunday afternoon to secure fifth place in the National Championship Tournament.
No. 1 Lucy Beecroft, No. 5 Emily Sherwood, No. 6 Riya Mital and No. 8 Nikita Joshi all swept their opponents. No. 3 Celine Yeap, No. 7 Alexis Lazor and No. 9 Jessica Yacobucci each won in four games. Yeap and Yacobucci both dropped their first game before winning three straight.
In the championship match, Harvard beat Trinity 9-0. Harvard went 13-0 this season, including the championship tournament, and won every match 9-0.
The CSA Women's Singles Championship Tournament takes place from March 1-3 at Brown University.
