Bulldogs Sweep the Weekend

ITHACA, N.Y.. — The Yale Women's Squash Team took down No. 12 Cornell 8-1 on Saturday afternoon, notching its second victory this weekend and its fourth victory against an Ivy League opponent this season. 

Four of the 10 Bulldogs swept their opponents, including No. 3 Celine Yeap, No. 4 Aishwarya Bhattacharya, No. 5 Emily Sherwood and No. 6 Riya Mital.

No. 2 Helen Teegan and No. 9 Jessica Yacobucci both dropped their first games before coming back to win three straight.

No. 7 Alexis Lazor beat her opponent 3-1. She won one of her games 17-15, which is now the longest game of the season.

The Elis finish up their regular season next weekend against No. 3 Harvard on Friday and No. 10 Dartmouth on Sunday. The Harvard match is in Cambridge at 5 p.m. and the Dartmouth match is at the Brady Center at noon.
