Bulldogs Fall At Princeton

Box Score

Vinyard Doubles For Yale

Yale's potent offense was held in check by Princeton's Allie Reynolds in the first of a three-game series at Class of 1895 Field in New Jersey. Reynolds limited the Bulldogs to three hits in an 8-0 Tiger victory.

Olivia Vinyard doubled and Sydney Grobman and Maya Seifert each singled for Yale.

The teams were originally scheduled to play a doubleheader, but the field conditions forced a later start and just a single game. A doubleheader is now scheduled for tomorrow starting at 12:30 p.m.

Kaylee Grant went 2-for-3 and knocked in four runs for the Tigers, who were playing their Ivy League opener.

The loss dropped Yale's league record to 2-2. The Bulldogs opened league play by taking two of three games from Penn last weekend at 5K Corral Field at DeWitt Family Stadium.

Leading 3-0 after three innings, Princeton broke the game open by scoring twice in the fourth and three times in the fifth to end the game.
