Game Notes for YALE
The Bulldogs, who last played post-season hockey in 2017-18, are back in the ECAC Hockey Tournament as the No. 5 seed out of eight qualifying schools. With that comes a trip to Boston for a best-of-three series against No. 4 Harvard. The weekend begins on Friday at 3:30 p.m. at the Bright Landry Center with game one. The second contest is a 3 p.m. Saturday puck drop, while the teams play in a Sunday, 2 p.m. finale if necessary. All games air on ESPN+ and internationally on Stretch Internet.

BULLDOGS
Yale, which earned a vote in the USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine Women's College Hockey Poll for the first time this year, split its last regular season weekend on the road, and Friday's win at Quinnipiac was a milestone accomplishment. Not only did the Elis get their first victoryin three tries against the local opponent, they raised their sticks to celebrate a program record 16th victory that ties them with the 2004-05 squad for most wins in a season. That was also their program best 13th conference win.Ā
LAST WEEK
Yale beat Quinnipiac 4-1 after erasing an early deficit.
Charlotte Welch had a goal and three points while
Claire Dalton contributed a goal and an assist.
Gianna Meloni, who had 56 saves on the weekend, notched 23 in the win. The Elis outshot the Cats on Friday but the tide turned the next day at Baker Rink.
Rebecca Vanstone got her second goal of the weekend, but the Bulldogs lost 5-1 to No. 6 Princeton.
LAST MEETINGS
Harvard won both regular season contests against Yale and had early, 3-0 leads in each. The Elis had the edge in shots on goal in both games but the final scores were 5-2 in Boston and 4-2 in New Haven. Dalton,
Rebecca Foggia, Vanstone and
Grace Lee had Yale's goals, while Meloni notched 39 saves combined.
CRIMSON
Harvard, receiving votes for national rankings, takes a 16-12-1 overall record into the series coming off a split against the North Country teams. The Crimson, who have won four of six, lost 4-1 to Clarkson before blanking St. Lawrence 3-0.
