NEW HAVEN, Conn. – A strong performance from the singles lineup helped the Yale men's tennis team earn a 5-2 victory over Navy at the Cullman-Heyman Tennis Center.
The Bulldogs won five of six singles matches. At the No. 1 singles position,
Michael Sun won the first set in a tiebreaker and then cruised to a 6-1 victory in the second set vs. Andrew Ton.
Cody Lin had the easiest time. He disposed of Navy's Greg Durham 6-1, 6-4 at No. 3.
Arnav Dhingra won the only three-set match. He edged Navy's Jack Dabek 6-4, 3-6, 6-3 at No. 6.
The Midshipmen captured the doubles point by winning two of the matches. Lin and
Ryan Cheng won at No. 2 for the Bulldogs.
Yale completes a busy weekend by hosting Western Michigan on Sunday at 11 a.m.
