NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Yale men's soccer team begins defense of its Ivy League championship when Harvard visits Reese Stadium on Saturday. Kickoff is slated for 7 p.m.
Here are notes on the matchup between the Bulldogs and Crimson:
* Yale (3-4) has played a very challenging non-conference schedule to prepare for Ivy play. The Bulldogs' losses have come to Villanova, UConn, Akron, ranked No. 15 in the nation at the time, and UMass. The four currently have a combined record of 22-9-3.
* Yale has yielded only two goals in its last three games.
* The Bulldogs are third in the league with 42 corner kicks.

Paolo Carroll is tied for third in the league with four goals, two of which have been game-winners. Carroll is tied for fourth with 10 points.
* Yale won the last meeting between the teams, 3-1 in 2019. It was a memorable night for
Sigfus Arnason, who scored his first two career goals in his first career Yale-Harvard match.
Enzo Okpoye also had a goal for the Bulldogs.
SCOUTING HARVARD
The Crimson (3-3-1) is among the nation's leaders in saves per game (2
nd, 6.57) and shots on goal (10
th, 7.43 per game). Alessandro Arlotti leads Harvard with nine points and is the reigning Ivy League Rookie of the Week. The Crimson is coming off a 3-1 loss to No. 6 New Hampshire on Tuesday night.
