NEW HAVEN, Conn. - The No. 5 Yale Women's Squash Team opened the 2021-22 season by defeating No. 9 Virginia 7-2 at the Brady Center on Saturday. 
 
Among the most dominant performances were from sophomore Elisabeth Ross (No. 2), junior Brianna Jefferson (No. 6), and captain Aishwarya Bhattacharya (No. 7). Ross and Jefferson both made quick work of their opponents, downing them in four games. Bhattacharya was the lone Eli to sweep her opponent in three games.
 
Next Thursday at 5:30 PM, the Elis (1-0, 0-0 Ivy) will face unranked Brown for their first Ivy-League match of the season.
