Three First-Years Announced

Bulldogs Add Talent to Roster in Class of 2025

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Yale Men's Squash Team announced three members of the class of 2025 who will join the program this fall. Two of the new Bulldogs played at prep schools in the Northeast, while the other was the No. 2 ranked junior across the pond.
 
Here is the class of 2025.
 
Taylor Clayton
Greenwich, Conn.
Hotchkiss School 
 
Taylor ClaytonBefore Yale: Two-year captain of the Hotchkiss Varsity Squash team… Four-time recipient of the US Squash Scholar-Athlete Award… Played No. 1 for Hotchkiss last two seasons… Also played soccer and ultimate frisbee in high school.
 
Personal Information: Studies and plans to continue studying classics in college… Served as a proctor, a dorm leader and head tour guide as a senior at Hotchkiss… Enjoys traveling, skiing, and playing golf.

Max ForsterBefore Yale: Ranked No. 2 in England for U19… Held No. 1 spot for seven months during 2019-20… Ranked No. 1 in England at most age categories… Represented England at European individuals and world juniors individuals at U19 level… Ranked No. 7 in the European Junior Rankings… Played rugby to a county level.
 
Personal information: Volunteer coach for both school and local club…  loves "a bit of" snowboarding

Merritt WurtsBefore Yale: Reached a ranking of 10 or better in Boys U11, 17 and 19… Currently rated at a 5.93… Played No. 1 and was named captain for junior and senior year of high school at Deerfield Academy… Finished 11th at the U19 U.S Junior Open at the age of 17… Played a total of 78 U.S. Junior Squash Tournaments… Also played lacrosse, soccer and cycled in high school… Honor roll all four years at Deerfield.
 
Personal information: Wants to explore a wide variety of subjects in college… Has interests in film and photography and is considering pursuing a minor in film… Served as a proctor/prefect in a sophomore dorm at Deerfield, which entailed living with and mentoring younger students… Was part of the Big Brother Big Sister program in Franklin County for two years in high school.
 
Fun fact: "I only started playing squash because of my sweet tooth, they offered candy after every junior clinic, a brilliant incentive. I'm embarrassed to say that the addiction has not subsided."
