ITHACA, N.Y. — The No. 4 Bulldogs won their fourth straight match to start the season, this time against No. 8 Cornell in Ithaca this afternoon. The Elis won 6-3 with four athletes recording 3-0 sweeps.
The middle of Yale's lineup is again to thank for this afternoon's victory, with the No. 5. – 9 seeds making quick work of their Cornell counterparts. At the top of the lineup, first-year and No. 4 seed
Christy Lau swept her opponent in a 19-minute, 11-6, 11-9, 11-3 match. Having played at both the No. 3 and 4 seeds, Christy is undefeated on the season.
Yale continues its road trip against No. 6 Columbia tomorrow at noon.
