COLUMBUS, Ohio – The first day of the Ohio State Invitational is in the books. Five events were held and the Yale women's swimming and diving team fared well.
In the 50 freestyle, the Bulldogs had two top-25 finishers.
Lindsey Wagner placed 19th with a time of 22.89, while
Ophelia Pilkinton was 22nd in 22.93.
In the 500 freestyle,
Lilly Derivaux finished 20th with a time of 4:50.61.
Ava Franks placed 24th in the 200 IM in 2:01.68.
Yale's two relay teams both placed 11th. The 200 free relay had a time of 1:33.29, while the 200 medley team finished in 1:41.72.
The Invitational field is strong and includes Kentucky, Indiana, Lindenwood, Navy, Notre Dame, Cincinnati, Virginia Tech, Ohio University, Ohio State, UCLA, Kenyon and Pittsburgh.
Action continues on Friday with the prelims beginning at 9:30 a.m. followed by the finals at 5:30 p.m.
