NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Yale men's soccer team plays its home finale on Saturday, and it will present a challenge. The Bulldogs face No. 15 Cornell in a 5 p.m. kickoff at Reese Stadium.
Â
Prior to the start, Yale will honor its seven seniors making their final appearance at Reese.
Sigfus Arnason, Paolo Carroll, Jeremy Haddock, Jules Oberg, Will Seidman, Thomas Toney and captain
Jeremy Haddock have made outstanding contributions both on and off the field. Six of the seven were a part of the memorable 2019 team that captured Yale's first outright Ivy League championship since 1991 and advanced to the NCAA Tournament. Since the start of the 2018 season, the Bulldogs have won 33 games, the most of any four-season stretch since 2005.
Â
The Bulldogs (6-4-4) are coming off a scoreless tie at Columbia last Saturday.
Elian Haddock made three saves in goal to post the shutout for Yale.
Â
Ten different Bulldogs have scored this season, led by Carroll, who has seven goals, which is tied for second in the league.
Â
Last season in New Haven,
Kahveh Zahiroleslam scored with less than six minutes remaining in the second half to lift Yale to a 1-0 victory over Cornell. Haddock made six saves, many of them with a high degree of difficulty, to earn the shutout.
