Non-Conference Slate Concludes with Visit from Lehigh Wednesday Night

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The final non-conference game of the season for the Yale women's basketball team is set for Wednesday night, as Lehigh visits Lee Amphitheater (6:00 p.m., ESPN+, International Stream, Live Stats, Tickets). After Wednesday the Bulldogs have their longest in-season break of the year, nine days, before Ivy League play starts Dec. 31 with a visit from Columbia.

Last Game
Yale (6-6, 0-0 Ivy League) held BU to a season low (tie) point total in a 58-46 win Dec. 13. The 12 point margin of victory was the Bulldogs' largest of the season. Clark was +16 and junior forward Haley Sabol (Pittsburgh, Pa.) was +15.

Quick Starts at Home
Yale has outscored its opponents 57-37 in the first quarter in home games. In road games, the Bulldogs have been outscored 105-73 in the first.

Bulldogs Rank Among League's Best
Yale leads the Ivy League in three-point field goal defense (.299). The Bulldogs are second in the league in offensive rebounds (13.5) and offensive rebound percentage (.354).

Capstraw Named Ivy League Rookie of the Week Again
First-year guard Kiley Capstraw (West Orange, N.J.) was named Ivy League Rookie of the Week on Monday, earning the honor for the second week in a row. She scored 12 points and had a season-high eight rebounds in Yale's 58-46 win vs. BU Dec. 13. Capstraw is Yale's leading scorer, averaging 11.3 points per game. She and Brown's Grace Arnolie are the only players who have earned more than one Ivy League Rookie of the Week honor this season. She leads the Ivy League in free throw percentage (.912) and is second in three-point field goal percentage (.467).

McGill Stands Out Among Ivy Rebounding Leaders
Sophomore guard Nyla McGill (Charlotte, N.C.) is second in the Ivy League in rebounding (8.4 rebounds per game). At 5-foot-8, she is the only player under 5-foot-9 among the top 17 in the league in rebounding. She is eighth in the league in steals per game (1.9).

Clark Coming Off Seven-Assist Outing
Junior guard Jenna Clark (Pittsburgh, Pa.) had seven assists in the win vs. BU last week, the second-best total of the season for her. She had 10 assists in the season opener at Fordham. For the season Clark ranks second in the Ivy League in assists per game (5.0), fifth in minutes per game (34.6) and fifth in steals per game (2.2). Clark is on the Watch List for the Nancy Lieberman Award as the top point guard in the country.

Bulldogs Seek Winning Non-Conference Mark
A win on Wednesday would give Yale a 7-6 record in non-conference games, matching last season's mark. Last year the Bulldogs went on to post a 9-5 Ivy League record, earning a spot in the Ivy League Tournament as the No. 3 seed.
