Yale-Princeton Softball Game on Apr. 17 to Air on ESPNU

First nationally televised game for Bulldogs

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Yale softball team will be in the national spotlight when Princeton visits on Sunday, Apr. 17. The single game, set for 11 a.m., will be broadcast by ESPNU, making it the first nationally televised game in the history of the program.

"We are ecstatic for the opportunity to showcase Yale Softball, and especially our hard-working student-athletes, on ESPNU," said Yale head coach Jen Goodwin. "The Ivy League plays some great softball, so to have the chance to host Princeton at 5K Corral Field at DeWitt Family Stadium on the national stage is so special for our program."

The 2022 season is poised to be an exciting one for the Bulldogs, who return a host of talent from 2020 and welcome a solid group of newcomers.

The Sunday game concludes a three-game series with the Tigers. The two teams play a doubleheader on Saturday, Apr. 16 starting at 12:30 p.m.

The remainder of Yale's home schedule will be streamed live on ESPN+ starting with the Mar. 19 doubleheader vs. Harvard.

The Bulldogs kick off the season at the North Texas Classic on Friday, Feb. 25.
