NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Yale University has announced new protocols for attending athletics events beginning Friday, Feb. 11. Athletic venues will operate at 75-percent capacity with fully vaccinated fans allowed at indoor sports and all guests for outdoor sports.

Yale College students whose phase-one quarantine has ended are permitted to attend games starting on Saturday, Feb. 5.

Current policies for fully vaccinated graduate and professional students, faculty and staff attendance permitted at 50-percent capacity remain in effect until February 10.

masks (cloth masks are prohibited) are required in any indoor space and for unvaccinated guests at outdoor venues. Fans must present up-to-date proof of vaccination and a valid ID at indoor games.

Additionally, youth ages 5-to-11 who provide proof of an up-to-date vaccination status are permitted to attend indoor contests. No outside food or in-arena concessions are permitted at indoor venues.

Yale's first contest under the new spectator policy is women's ice hockey vs. Clarkson at Ingalls Rink on Friday, Feb. 11, at 6 p.m.

Indoor Sports Guidance (effective Friday, Feb. 11)
- All fans with up-to-date vaccinations are permitted to attend
- All attendees must show proof of up-to-date vaccination (actual card or photo) and a photo ID
- Youth ages 5-to-11 are permitted to attend with proof of up-to-date vaccination (actual card or photo)
- Yale approved masks (cloth masks are prohibited) must be worn at all times
- No outside food and no in-venue concessions
Outdoor Sports Guidance (effective Friday, Feb. 11)
- All fans are permitted to attend
- Unvaccinated guests must wear a Yale approved mask at all times (cloth masks are prohibited)
- Yale approved masks must be worn by all attendees in any indoor space (i.e. bathrooms)
- Concessions will be permitted
All policies and protocols are subject to change through updated campus guidelines. Attendees who cannot follow venue protocols will not be allowed admission to Yale Athletics venues. Fans are encouraged to arrive early at all events for proper screening.
