NEW HAVEN, Conn. – They No. 14-ranked Yale University men's lacrosse team looks to keep momentum rolling on Sunday, March 13, when the Bulldogs fly out to the Mile High City to take on (rv) Denver at 1 p.m. EST.
 
The Bulldogs (2-1) bounced back from their first loss of the season with a come-from-behind victory, capped by the overtime gamewinner by attackman 
Matt Brandau with just 39 seconds left in the period.
 
Brandau leads Yale and ranks second in the Ivy League with 10 goals this season. He also owns team highs with 15 points and five assists. Fellow attackman 
Leo Johnson had two goals and an assist against UMass and earned his first career Ivy League honor with the Rookie of the Week Award.
 
In goal, 
Jared Paquette has improved to 2-1 with 43 saves and a 12.00 goals against average. Paquette and the Yale defense, anchored by senior 
Chris Fake, have caused at least seven turnovers in each game this season.
 
About Denver
The Pioneers (3-3, 0-0 Big East) are coming off a 17-16 loss at No. 7 North Carolina last week as Denver has lost three of their past four games – 11-9 vs. Jacksonville and 19-10 at Duke. They started the season with wins at Utah (14-13) and vs. Air Force (13-9) before a week five win over Canisius (20-9).
 
JJ Sillstrop, the reigning Big East Attack Player of the Week who was just added to the Tewaaraton Watch List, paces the team 19 goals and 27 points. Four different Pioneer have totaled 10-or-more goals.
 
On defense, Malik Sparrow has 11 caused turnovers in front of Jack Thompson who has 57 saves and a 13.37 goals against average. In the circle, Alec Stathankis has won 95-of-167 with 43 groundballs.
