NEW HAVEN, Conn. – First-year defender Caleb McDowell of the Yale men's lacrosse team was named to the 2026 Inside Lacrosse Power 100 Freshman Rankings, the organization announced Wednesday.
 
McDowell, who ranks No. 62, joins a Yale team coming off a strong 2025 season in which the Bulldogs made their 15th consecutive Ivy League Tournament appearance and returned to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2023. In the NCAA Tournament First Round, Yale pushed No. 6 seed Syracuse to the brink, narrowly falling 16-15 after the Orange's goalkeeper made a series of standout saves in the final seconds to preserve the victory.
