Bulldogs Back at Reese in Ivy Showdown vs. Princeton

No. 11 Yale men’s lacrosse hosts No. 3 Tigers

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Yale University men's lacrosse returns to Reese Stadium on Saturday, March 26 at 3:30 p.m., as the second half of a lacrosse doubleheader with the Bulldog women starting things off at Noon. The Yale men welcome in the No. 3-ranked Princeton Tigers as the Elis look to event their Ivy League record.

Yale (3-2, 0-1 Ivy) is ranked No. 11 in the latest United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) poll for the second-straight week after a barn-burner at No. 4 Cornell last Saturday. The Bulldogs' furious fourth-quarter rally which saw the Elis net seven fourth-quarter goals came up just short, 13-12.

The Bulldogs are in the midst of a grueling stretch to start the season as all of its first 11 opponents this year have received votes in the USILA Top-20 poll.

Junior attackman Matt Brandau continues to lead the Bulldogs offense as he has scored a goal in every game of his college career (28) and ranks third in the Ivy League with 5.20 (16 G, 10 A) points per game.

The Elis got a boost from rookie Chris Lyons who not only netted his first career goal but followed it up with two more for the hat trick. He also had three groundballs in the game and put four of seven shots on goal.

Sophomore Nicholas Ramsey had a career game in the circle against the Big Red as he won 21-of-28 and picked up 16 groundballs – both high-water marks as he'll look to keep it going against Princeton.

In goal, sophomore Jared Paquette tied a career-high with 18 saves in Ithaca last week and is up to 76 stops with a .551 save percentage. He has a 12.26 goals against average.
