Zhou Earns All-America Honors; Eighth in Foil at NCAAs

Bulldogs sit in eighth place after women’s competition

 SOUTH BEND, Ind. – Emme Zhou turned in a memorable performance at the NCAA Fencing Championship at Notre Dame. Zhou placed eighth in women's foil to earn All-America recognition for the second time in her career. She finished with 15 victories in 23 bouts for a stellar .652 winning percentage.
 
Zhou was one of four Bulldogs competing in the women's portion of the championship. Helen Tan, who also competed in foil, finished 17th.
 
Yale had two competitors in saber – Sydney Hirsch finished 14th and Stephanie Cao placed 21st
 
In the team competition, the Bulldogs sit in eighth place with a total score of 327.
 
The Yale men begin competing on Saturday. The Bulldogs have three participants – Safi Haider (epee) and Earnest Chen and Maxwell Yee (foil).
