Yale Golf Course has 36-hole Saturday event

NEW HAVEN, Conn.  – Fourteen teams are set to compete this Saturday at the Yale Golf Course in the one-day, 36-hole 2022 Yale Invitational.

The field of 75 players includes teams from Brown, Drexel, Dartmouth, Fairfield, Fordham, Hartford, Hofstra, Holy Cross, Niagara, Penn, Sacred Heart, Siena, Temple and Yale.

Threesomes will tee it up on the first hole starting at 7:10 a.m., while the 10th has groups beginning play at 7:30. There will be continuous play for 36 holes on Saturday. Results will be available on golfstat.com after each round.

This event was last contested in 2019, when Yale erased an 11-shot first round deficit to win with an 11-over, 711. The Bulldogs finished five shots ahead of second-place Bucknell and six shots ahead of third-place Penn. Siena's Jack Brown earned medalist honors with a score of 134.

The Bulldogs, coming off a sixth-place finish at last weekend's Princeton Invitational, are getting ready for next weekend's Ivy League Championships.
