HANOVER, N.H. – The Yale women's tennis team will enter the final day of the regular season still in the hunt for a share of the Ivy League title. The Bulldogs knocked off Dartmouth 4-3 to improve to 4-2 in Ivy play.
Yale, which closes the regular season by hosting Harvard on Sunday, is one match out of first place.
Friday's victory did not come easily. The Bulldogs needed three-set singles victories from
Chelsea Kung and
Rhea Shrivastava to help secure the win.
Jessie Gong and
Vivian Cheng were both straight sets winners in singles.
In doubles, Shrivastava and Cheng posted a 6-0 victory at No. 2, but the Big Green won the other two matches to earn the doubles point.
