NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Yale Department of Athletics announced today that
Jen Goodwin completed her contract and will not return as its softball coach.
Goodwin began coaching the Bulldogs in 2012 and compiled an overall record of 106-242-1. This past season, the Bulldogs had an overall record of 11-23.
In 2017, the Bulldogs finished with their best Ivy League record since 2009, and saw five players earn All-Ivy recognition, the most selections for Yale since 2011. In Goodwin's first year, she also mentored Sarah Onorato who was named Ivy League Player of the Year, the first Yale player to win the award since 1991.
A search for the next head coach will begin immediately.
