WEST WINDSOR, N.J. -- While Yale's eights were off from racing Saturday due to a second weigh-in, the Yale varsity coxed four lined up for the B final at 11:00 a.m. The lineup for the coxed four was:
Cox:
Magdalena Moore, First Year
Stroke:
Angus Stevenson, First Year
Three Seat:
Judah Ellison, Senior
Two Seat:
James Casemore, Sophomore
Bow:
Grayson Grigorian, First Year
Â
The Bulldogs had a strong start to edge their bow ball in the front of the field, eventually increasing their margin to about a length. Yale never conceded their lead and was the first crew to cross the finish line, winning with a time of 6:40.796 to place seventh in the nation for the lightweight coxed four event.Â
"Our four represented Yale well this morning," commented Y150 Alumni Head Coach of Lightweight CrewÂ
Andy Card. "[Assistant coach] Ned [DelGuercio] and I are proud of what they were able to accomplish in training and in the final race of the year. Four of the crew are returning, and they learned a lot about what leadership, hard work, and perseverance look like from senior
Judah Ellison. He's a true Blue."
The Y150 now looks forward to Sunday morning for the varsity and junior varsity grand finals for a chance to be crowned the top lightweight eight and overall crew in the nation. The schedule and lineups for Sunday's racing can be found below.
