NEW HAVEN, Conn. - The National Rowing Foundation has announced the 2023 National Rowing Hall of Fame® inductions, and two Bulldogs will be honored - Taylor Ritzel '10 and Jamie Redman '08
Ritzel and Redman are among the 18 oarswomen to be inducted who were part of gold medal US women's eights from 2009 to 2012. Redman and Ritzel were both part of the US eight that won world championships in 2010 and 2011. Ritzel also won a gold medal with the US eight at the 2012 London Olympics.
At Yale, Redman was a 2007 CRCA All-America selection and twice earned All-New England honors. She helped the Bulldogs varsity eight to an undefeated season, including the NCAA title, in 2007 and then another national championship as a senior in 2008.
Ritzel, a three-time CRCA All-American, was also a part of the NCAA champion varsity eight in 2007 and 2008. In her senior year in 2010, she served as team captain and helped the Bulldogs win a third NCAA varsity eight title in four years.
The Hall of Fame ceremony will be at the NRF Reunion tent next to the
Boys In The Boat tent entrance at the Head of the Charles Regatta on Saturday, Oct. 21 at 4 p.m.
