Yale (1-0, 0-0 Ivy League) opened the season with a decisive
17-6 win vs. Vermont at Reese Stadium Saturday. The Bulldogs fell behind 3-2 at the 4:24 mark of the first quarter – and responded by shutting the Catamounts out for the next 28 minutes, outscoring them 9-0 to take an 11-3 lead. Sophomore attacker

Collignon Named Ivy League Offensive Player of the Week
Sophomore attacker
Jenna Collignon (Hinsdale, Ill.) was
named the Ivy League Offensive Player of the Week on Monday. She led the team in goals with four. She added five draw controls, the second-most on the team, and also had three ground balls.

The six goals Vermont scored Saturday matched the second-lowest total the Bulldogs allowed all of last season (May 6, 2022, a
16-6 win vs. Cornell in the Ivy League Tournament Semifinals). The last time the Bulldogs allowed fewer than six goals in a game was a
15-4 win vs. Sacred Heart in the 2022 season opener (Feb. 19).
Scouting Quinnipiac
Quinnipiac (1-1, 0-0 MAAC) opened the season with a 16-11 win vs. Sacred Heart but lost to LIU 13-6 last Saturday. The Bobcats's leading scorer is midfielder Sophie Spencer (5-2-7). Goalie Kat Henselder was a preseason All-MAAC selection. She had 17 saves in last year's game, a
13-12 Yale win in which the Bulldogs outshot the Bobcats 41-24.
