Last Game
Yale (11-14, 5-7 Ivy League) fell to first-place Princeton last Saturday at Lee Amphitheater. The Bulldogs limited the Tigers to just one made three-pointer – tying Princeton's season low – but the Tigers shot .451 from two-point territory to come away with a 68-42 win. Sophomore guard
Nyla McGill (Charlotte, N.C.) registered her eighth double-double of the season, leading Yale in points (11) and rebounds (14).

Yale's offensive rebound rate (percentage of offensive rebound opportunities actually rebounded) is 35.6%. That's the best by the Bulldogs in the

Four Yale women's basketball players have been named Academic All-District by College Sports Communicators (CSC): junior guard
Klara Astrom (Menlo Park, Calif.), junior guard
Jenna Clark (Pittsburgh, Pa.), junior forward
Brenna McDonald (Natick, Mass.) and junior forward
Haley Sabol (Pittsburgh, Pa.. CSC announced the awards on Tuesday. The annual honor recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performance on the court and in the classroom. All four Bulldogs now advance to the Academic All-America ballot. Academic All-America honorees will be announced in March.
McGill Among League Leaders in Rebounds, Steals
Sophomore guard
Nyla McGill (Charlotte, N.C.) has double doubles in four of the last five games, starting with a 20 rebound, 17 point effort against Harvard Feb. 3 that left her four shy of Yale's single-game rebounding record. McGill has eight double-doubles this season, putting her near the top 50 nationally (six players with 10 are tied for 45th). She is second in the Ivy League in rebounding (9.2 per game) and second in the league in steals per game (2.60). She is third on the team in points per game (8.2). McGill is seventh in the nation in offensive rebounds per game (4.6). Her 230 rebounds this season rank her eighth in the Yale record book, 18 away from seventh (248 by
Meg Simpson '02 in 2001-02).
Clark a Candidate for Lieberman Award
Junior point guard
Jenna Clark (Pittsburgh, Pa.) has been selected as
one of the top 10 candidates for the 2023 Nancy Lieberman Award, which recognizes the best point guard in women's college basketball. She leads the Ivy League in assists (132, 34th nationally), assists per game (5.3, 24th nationally) and minutes per game (35.63, 49th nationally). She is third in the league in assist/turnover ratio (1.53) and tied for 10th in steals per game (1.7). She leads Yale in scoring (11.0 points per game). By assisting or scoring, she has had a hand in 42.2 percent of Yale's field goals this season – more than any other player in the Ivy League. Her 305 career assists rank her eighth in Yale history, five away from seventh (310,
Stephanie Marciano '08). She holds two of the top seven single-season assist totals in Yale history (160 in 2021-22 is first, 132 this year is seventh).
McDonald Leads League in Blocks
Having earned five straight starts and having appeared in 19 of Yale's 25 games, junior forward
Brenna McDonald (Natick, Mass.) now qualifies as the Ivy League leader in blocks per game (1.2). She has totaled 16 blocks in the last five games.
Around the Ivy League
With two weekends left in the regular season, Columbia and Princeton are tied atop the
Ivy League standings with 10-2 league records. Harvard and Penn are tied for third, two games back at 8-4. Yale is fifth at 5-7. The top four teams in the Ivy standings make the Ivy League Tournament, which takes place at Princeton's Jadwin Gym Mar. 10-11 and determines the recipient of the league's automatic berth in the NCAA Tournament. Columbia, Harvard, Penn and Princeton have clinched spots in the tournament.
