College Squash Association Announces All-Americans, Scholar Athletes

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The College Squash Association (CSA) has announced year-end awards. Three Bulldogs earned All-American honors, while five were recognized as CSA Scholar Athletes.

The players earning All-America status have excelled on court throughout both the regular season and the championships. Junior Siow Yee Xian was named a First Team All-American, while junior Elisabeth Ross and sophomore Maxwell Orr were named Second Team All-Americans.

Additionally, the CSA announced the men's and women's Scholar Athlete honorees for the 2022-23 season.

The Scholar-Athlete Award is given to juniors or seniors, who have earned at least two varsity letters, participated in the majority of the team's matches in the top 10 of the lineup during the season, and achieved a high academic standing at their institution. CSA Scholar-Athletes embody the values of the association – achieving a high level of play on court while excelling in the classroom.

Senior Brianna Jefferson and juniors Sneha Sivakumar and Elisabeth Ross were named from the women's side. Juniors Jed Burde and Siow Yee Xian were named from the men's side.

Jefferson, Sivakumar, and Ross were three of 29 Ivy League players to be recognized from a women's squad, while Burde and Xian were two of 14 Ivy League players to be recognized from a men's squad.
