PHILADELPHIA, Pa. -- The Yale men's squash team came up just short in the Collegiate Squash Association (CSA) National Championship Match, falling to No. 1 Penn, 6-3. The Bulldogs battled all weekend long and concluded the postseason tournament with their best team result since 2016.
In the championship match, Penn won the first four matches, but wins from
Merritt Wurts and
Rishi Srivastava kept the Bulldogs' hopes alive. Salman Khalil clinched the title for the Quakers in hard-fought matchup against
Tad Carney.
Max Forster earned a win for Yale in his final collegiate match.
Yale finished the season with a 10-3 record. Penn wrapped up its second consecutive National Championship campaign with a perfect 20-0 record.
