No. 16 Bulldogs Host Temple Saturday Afternoon

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – With two wins against nationally ranked teams in a span of 10 days, the Yale women's lacrosse team has positioned itself among the best teams in the country. The Bulldogs will look to keep that momentum going Saturday at Reese Stadium (3:30 p.m., ESPN+, International Stream, Live Stats) against a Temple team that was among the teams receiving votes in the preseason poll. 
 
Last Game
Yale (5-2, 1-0 Ivy League) earned another signature win Tuesday night, winning at No. 15 Duke 15-14 in a back-and-forth battle. Sophomore attacker Jenna Collignon (Hinsdale, Ill.) led Yale with seven goals, adding six draw controls. Sophomore midfielder Sky Carrasquillo (Alpharetta, Ga.) had five ground balls and four caused turnovers. Junior goalkeeper Luanna Summer (St. Louis, Mo.), making her first career start, finished with four saves. This was Yale's second win against a team that was ranked No. 15 in a 10 day span, as the Bulldogs beat Princeton 15-10 on Mar. 4 when the Tigers were No. 15.
 
That Was Quick
After scoring seven goals Tuesday night in the win at No. 15 Duke, sophomore attacker Jenna Collignon (Hinsdale, Ill.) has already surpassed her goal total from last year. She has 28 goals in seven games this year – 11 goals more than any other player in the Ivy League. She scored 26 in 11 games last year. She has 32 points, which is 10 more than any other player in the Ivy League. She has a 14 game point-scoring streak dating back to last season. Collignon has been named to the Tewaaraton Award Women's Watch List
 
Home Field Advantage
Yale is 10-2 (.833) at home over the last two seasons, and has not lost at home to an unranked team since falling to Albany 12-9 on Feb. 22, 2020.

Alumni Weekend, One Love Games
Saturday's game is part of an alumni weekend doubleheader that includes the No. 8 Yale men's team hosting No. 7 Cornell at noon at Reese Stadium. Both games are also part of One Love Day, helping the One Love Foundation in its goal of ending relationship abuse.
 
Scouting Temple
Temple (5-3, 0-0 AAC) has won two of its last three games, and as of Wednesday led the AAC and was 12th nationally in draw control percentage (.598). Head coach Bonnie Rosen, in her 17th season at Temple, was an assistant coach at Yale from 1995-97 and helped the Bulldogs to the 1995 ECAC Championship.
