NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Yale men's tennis team put up a strong fight against No. 15 Harvard but dropped a 5-2 decision on the Yale outdoor courts.
In doubles, the Yale duo of
Theo Dean and
Aidan Reilly posted a 6-2 win at No. 2. The Crimson, though, won the other two doubles matches to earn the point.
In singles, the Bulldogs got an impressive 6-2, 6-3 victory from
Theo Dean over Harris Walker at No. 1. Walker was ranked No. 31 by the ITA.
Luke Neal was also a singles winner for Yale, earning a three-set victory at No. 5.
The match was the Ivy League opener for the Bulldogs, who play at Dartmouth on Sunday at 1 p.m.
