CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The No. 3 Yale men's squash team fell to No. 2 Harvard, 7-2, on the road. The Bulldogs dropped their first match of the season and now sit at 4-1 overall. The Crimson remain undefeated and improve to 6-0.
Despite the final score, the match was incredibly close throughout with six of the nine matches going to five sets.
"Tremendous effort from our team in tonight's match against Harvard and despite our strong fight, we fell just short of a victory," said
Lynn Leong, Brooks G. Ragen Director of Squash at Yale. "Our ability to convert crucial wins didn't come through when it mattered most. We must give credit where it's due—Harvard is an exceptional team, and we did come close to matching their level," said Leong.
"This experience, though challenging, presents us with a valuable opportunity. It's a chance to identify and implement the necessary adjustments. Our journey continues, and we're committed to growing and improving from this point forward," said Leong.
