DERBY, Conn. – The Yale women's crew team dominated in what was a beautiful day on the Housatonic River. The squad competed at the Head of the Housatonic, a 4200-meter race, organized year-to-year by the New Haven Rowing Club.

Bulldog boats took the top four finishes out of 13 shells – competing against Sacred Heart, Fordham, and Lehigh.
Here's how the racing time panned out in the 8+ collegiate women's race:
- 1V8 – First place with a time of 13.44.2.
- 3V8 – Second place with a time of 14:10.9.
- 2V8 – Third place with a time of 14:11.4.
- 4V8 – Fourth place with a time of 14:45.2.Â
Yale also had a shell in the Women's Open 4+, which led by
Eva Hofmans, took the top spot with a time of 16:29.6, an enormous 23-second margin from the second-place finishing Fordham (16:52.5).

The Bulldogs will wrap the fall racing season on Sunday, Oct. 20 at the Head of the Charles.
