Jake Wang notched a new Yale program record in the 200 individual medley to highlight day one action for the Yale University men's swimming and diving team at the Ohio State Invitational.
The Bulldogs finished day one fourth of eight teams with 377.50 points ahead of Penn State, Cincinnati, Northwestern and Notre Dame.

- Noah Millard led the field in the 500 freestyle in 4:11.29. Arshak Hambardzumyan placed 13th in 4:19.77.
- Wang placed 16th overall in his record setting 200 IM performance with a time of 1:45.34. Also in the 200 IM, Alexander Hazlett was 19th in 1:47.05 and Charlie Egeland was one spot back in 1:47.69.
- The 200 freestyle relay of Wang, Nick Finch, Nareg Minassian and Deniel Nankov finished fourth overall in 1:17.55. The quartet of Mak Nurkic Kacapor, Lucius Brown, Alex Deng and Alexander Hazlett placed eighth in 1:19.12.
- Finch was Yale's top finisher in the 50 freestyle with a time of 19.82, good for 10th place. Nenkov, swimming in the B final, finished 15th in 19.68. Minassian registered a time of 19.87 to come in 18th.
- The 400 medley relay of Millard, Egeland, Finch and Nankov was fifth in 3:07.53.
- Brady Stanton paced the divers on the one-meter board with a score of 275.3, which placed 15th. Jackson Lipscomb was 18th after a score of 266.6. Nicholas Chau placed 20th with a score of 258.6. Ray Wipfli was 28th with a mark of 197.
The Bulldogs return to action tomorrow for day two of the Ohio State Invitational.
