Egeland Claims 200 IM Crown at U.S. Open

GREENSBORO, N.C. - Charlie Egeland of the Yale University men's swimming and diving team finished first in the 200 individual medley to claim the U.S. Open title during day two of the event on Thursday. Egeland raced to a Yale record time of 1:44.60 to win the crown.

Ben Meulemans also reached the finals of the 50 freestyle. He placed second in the C final with a time of 20.12.

The Bulldogs return to action for the third day of the U.S. Open Championships tomorrow.
