GREENSBORO, N.C. - For the second day in a row,
Charlie Egeland of the Yale University men's swimming and diving team captured an individual event at the U.S. Open. Fresh off a triumph in the 200 individual medley on Thursday, Egeland outpaced the field in the 100 breaststroke today.
His time of 52.11 was .41 better than Mariano Lazzerini of Penn State.
The Bulldogs return to action for the third day of the U.S. Open Championships tomorrow.
