Egeland Clinches Third Title on Final Day of U.S. Open

GREENSBORO, N.C. - Charlie Egeland of the Yale University men's swimming and diving team capped a phenomenal weekend on Saturday by winning his third U.S. Open title in as many days. This time around, Egeland claimed the 200 breaststroke with a time of 1:53.74, which was also a new Yale record.

Egeland won the 200 individual medley on Thursday and the 100 breaststroke on Friday.

Ben Meulemans also competed in the 100 freestyle and posted a time of 43.36.

The Bulldogs return to action on Jan. 10-11 for an Ivy League meet against Penn and Dartmouth.
