No. 16 Yale Hosts CCSU, Visits Rutgers this Week

Yale ranks 10th nationally in scoring defense, allowing 8.00 goals per game.
NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The No. 16 Yale women's lacrosse team hosts state rival Central Connecticut State Tuesday at Reese Stadium (1:00 p.m., ESPN+, International Stream, Live Stats). The Bulldogs then head to Rutgers Sunday (12:00 p.m., B1G+, Live Stats). The Scarlet Knights are among the teams receiving votes in the latest ILWomen/IWLCA Poll.
 
Last Game
Yale (5-0, 1-0 Ivy League) beat UConn 17-6 this past Saturday at Reese Stadium. The Bulldogs outscored the Huskies 12-1 over the game's final 34:53, including a span of 24:24 in which the Bulldogs held UConn scoreless at the end of the game. Yale outscored UConn 10-1 in the second half and enjoyed a 46-19 shot advantage for the game.
 
Undefeated
Yale is one of six unbeaten NCAA Division I women's lacrosse teams left in the nation this season:

Scouting CCSU
CCSU (1-3, 1-0 NEC) is coming off its first win of the season, 14-4 vs. Howard last Wednesday. The Blue Devils are in their sixth season under head coach Betsy Vendel, a 2014 CCSU graduate who is the program's all-time leader in assists (99), points (219) and draw controls (180) and ranks second in goals (120). Attacker Lauren Valluzzi leads the team in points (4-9-13).
 
Scouting Rutgers
Rutgers (5-2, 0-1 Big Ten), which hosts Michigan Thursday, lost to Yale's Ivy League rival Princeton 13-10 Feb. 28. The Scarlet Knights enter the week ranked 15th nationally in ground balls per game (19.57). Midfielder Cassidy Spilis, the program's all-time leader in goals (223), is fifth nationally in goals per game (4.43).
