NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Yale men's lacrosse team is back at Reese Stadium. The Bulldogs host Harvard in the Ivy League opener for both teams on Saturday in a battle of nationally ranked teams. Yale sits at No. 10, while the Crimson is No. 12. The opening faceoff is set for 1 p.m. and ESPN+ has the video.

• Yale (3-1) is coming off a memorable trip to the Mile High City. The Bulldogs knocked off No. 1 ranked Denver 15-13 before the second largest crowd in Peter Barton Lacrosse Stadium history last Sunday.
Matt Brandau's goal early in the fourth quarter snapped a 13-13 tie and was the game winner as Yale held the Pioneers scoreless over the final 12 minutes, 26 seconds.

• Brandau finished with two goals and three assists and was named the Ivy League Offensive Player of the Week for the second time this season.

• Brandau leads the nation in points per game (6.75) and is second in assists per game (4.0).

David Anderson, who had a hat trick in the win over Denver, is fourth nationally in goals per game (3.75).

Jack Stuzin had two caused turnovers against Denver and is ninth in the nation at 2.25 caused turnovers per game.

Machado Rodriguez leads the Ivy League in faceoff percentage (.605) and is 14th nationally.

• Yale is fifth in the nation in ground balls per game (37.50) and eighth in scoring offense (15.75).

• The Bulldogs have won the last four meetings with Harvard.

• Saturday is the earliest Yale and Harvard have played in a season in the 105-game history between the teams. It will be the first meeting in March.

• Last year in Cambridge in the regular season finale, Yale clinched a spot in the Ivy League Tournament with a 14-11 victory over the Crimson. Eight different Bulldogs scored.

The Crimson, ranked No. 12/14 nationally, is 6-0 on the season and off to its best start since 1990. Harvard is one of only four unbeaten teams remaining in Division I. Army West Point, NJIT and Quinnipiac are the others. Harvard is coming off a 13-11 victory over No. 13 Michigan last weekend. Sam King leads the team in assists (19) and points (36). Graham Blake has a team-best 18 goals. Christian Barnard (10.62 GAA) has started all six games in goal.
