Box Score CANTON, N.Y. -- The Yale women's ice hockey team saw their ECAC playoff run come to an end in the quarterfinals as they fell to St. Lawrence 3-1 at Appleton Arena on Saturday afternoon. The Saints built a three-goal lead late into the third period and the Bulldogs could not find the equalizer despite firing off over 40 shots on goal.Â
With the series win, St. Lawrence will advance to the ECAC Semifinals next weekend against Clarkson at host site Clarkson. Yale falls to 16-15-1 overall and will wait to see if they earned an at-large bid to the Division I NCAA Tournament later this month.

- END OF 1 | Despite the Saint Lawrence goal, the first 20 minutes were an evenly-matched affair with the Bulldogs outshooting the Saints 11-10. Yale also killed off an SLU power play.

- END OF 2 | Saint Lawrence extended their lead, but once again the Bulldogs were the aggressors, outshooting their opponents 24-5 and maintaining the puck for long periods of time. Yale could not convert on a pair of power play opportunities.

- P3, 11:56 | GOAL! The Bulldogs finally got on the board on a score by Jordan Ray. After firing a wrister on net which was saved by the Saints goaltender, Ray got her own rebound and put it in the back of the net to cut into the St. Lawerence lead.
Game Notes
- Saint Lawrence completed the season sweep over the Bulldogs, beating them twice in the regular season and twice in the quarterfinals.
- Pia Dukaric and Anna Phillips split time in goal for the Bulldogs, making a combined 16 saves. Emma-Sofie Nordstrom was fantastic for the Saints between the pipes earning the victory with 41 saves.
- Ray scored her team-leading 13th goal of the season.
What's Next?
The Bulldogs will await the results of the NCAA Selection Show on March 10 to see if they have earned an at-large bid for the Division I NCAA Tournament.
