WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:

• The Bulldogs (8-2, 3-1 Ivy) have won four straight games and six of their last seven.

• Yale is in the top 10 in both national polls - No. 8 in the USILA coaches' poll and No. 9 in the Inside Lacrosse media poll.

• The Bulldogs are coming off a hard-fought 18-16 victory at Boston University on Tuesday. Yale scored the final four goals of the second quarter to snap a 4-4 tie. BU, though, closed to within one goal six times over the final two quarters, but the Bulldogs had an answer each and every time. Matt Brandau's third and final goal with 1:00 left allowed Yale to breathe a little easier in the final seconds.

• Tuesday was another record-breaking day for Brandau, who became Yale's all-time points and assists leader. He finished the afternoon with three goals and eight assists. The eight assists tied the Yale single-game record, the second time this season he has tied it. Brandau is now the school's all-time leader in goals (183), assists (144) and points (327). All three marks had been held by three-time All-American and 2018 Tewaaraton Award winner Ben Reeves.

• Brandau is now in pursuit of all-time Ivy League records. His 183 career goals are the third most in Ivy history. He is eight behind Cornell's Mike French (191) and 14 in back of Brown's Dylan Molloy (197). Brandau's 327 career points are second in league history. Cornell's Rob Pannell (354) is the all-time leader.

• Brandau is back to leading the nation in both points per game (6.80) and assists per game (3.90).

• Machado Rodriguez leads the Ivy League and is third nationally in face-off winning percentage (.631, (137 of 217). In addition, he is the national leader in ground balls per game (10.20).

• Behind the work of Rodriguez and Nicholas Ramsey (.656, 63 of 96), Yale leads the nation in face-off winning percentage (.638).

• Tuesday's 18-goal outburst moved Yale closer to Notre Dame as the nation's top scoring offense. The Irish average a national best 16.38 goals per game, slightly ahead of the Bulldogs, who are second at 16.20 goals per game.

• Yale can clinch a spot in the four-team Ivy League Tournament with a victory on Saturday over Dartmouth and a Harvard loss to Penn.

• The Bulldogs have won the last 12 meetings with the Big Green and lead the all-time series 55-34.

• Last year at Reese Stadium, Yale outscored Dartmouth 8-3 in the first quarter and 8-2 in the second to build a 16-5 halftime lead on its way to a 21-11 victory.
