PRINCETON, N.J., and STORRS, Conn. -- The Yale men's track and field team competed at the UConn Northeast Challenge amd Princeton's Larry Ellis Invitational on Saturday. 

The Bulldogs at the UConn Northeast Challenge:

• The day got off to a winning start as Tanish Chettiar stormed home in a new 1500m PR of 3:51.21. Just behind him was teammate Ronan Luff, whose 3:54.94 was also a PR. Luff doubled back in the 800m later on alongside Antonio Bravo, who clocked 1:58.33. 
• That success carried over to the sprints, with Simon Jupp running 49.45 for sixth in the 400m. Over 200m, he ran a new PR of 22.31 along with Andrew Farr's 22.03 and Andrew Fu's 22.42.
• Fu and Farr came back in the 100m later on, competing next to Malcolm Grant and Shaun Gold. They had earlier combined together to form a 4x100m team that placed fourth thanks to a 41.32 clocking.

The Bulldogs at the Princeton Larry Ellis Invitational:

• Chris Ward (17.21m) took fourth in the shot put.
• Captain Matt Appel (56.55m) was the top finisher among four Bulldogs in the discus, placing fourth.
