LEXINGTON, Ky. – Senior
Nolan Recker of the Yale men's track and field team capped his Yale career in the hammer throw at the NCAA East First Round meet Wednesday at Kentucky.
While three fouls left Recker without an official mark, his appearance at the meet was the culmination of a memorable spring in which he established a PR of 62.59m, second all-time at Yale. That mark came earlier this month at the Ivy League Heptagonal Outdoor Track and Field Championships, where he placed third.
In addition to ranking second on Yale's all-time list in the hammer throw outdoors, Recker is ninth all-time in the discus (52.86m, set in 2024). Indoors, he is Yale's record holder in the weight throw (21.04m).
The top 12 at the NCAA East First Round meet earned spots in the NCAA Championships, set for June 10 and 12 at Oregon's Hayward Field.
Two other Bulldogs, junior
Nathan Lebowitz (discus, 1:00 p.m.) and senior
Owen Karas (5K, 8:10 p.m.), are scheduled to compete at the NCAA East First Round meet Friday.
