WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:
Â
• Yale (10-2, 4-1 Ivy) hasn't had a seven-game winning streak since early in the 2018 NCAA championship season.
Â
• Yale has now won 10 or more games in seven of the last eight full seasons. Since 2010, the Bulldogs have won at least 10 games in 11 of 13 full seasons.
Â
• Yale earned a hard-fought 16-12 win at Hofstra on Tuesday night. The Bulldogs were very efficient on offense, scoring their 16 goals on just 23 shots on goal.
Â
• Friday is the final non-conference game of the season. The Bulldogs wrap up Ivy play by hosting Princeton next Saturday at noon at Reese Stadium.
Â
•
Matt Brandau earned a number of honors after posting a 20-point (7 goals, 13 assists) performance in victories over Boston University and Dartmouth last week. He was named the Ivy League Offensive, The Lacrosse Network and USA Lacrosse Magazine Player of the Week and was selected to the USILA Team of the Week.
Â
• Brandau, who was named one of 25 nominees for the Tewaaraton Award on Thursday, began working on next week's honors by tallying nine points (5 goals, 4 assists) in Tuesday's win at Hofstra. He has been on a torrid offensive pace recently, tallying 44 points (22 goals, 22 assists) during Yale's six-game winning streak.
Â
• Brandau, who leads the nation in points per game (7.17) and assists per game (4.0), is now the school's all-time leader in goals (192), assists (153) and points (345). He broke the goal scoring mark in the win at Brown on Mar. 30 and career points and assists record at BU. All three marks had been held by three-time All-American and 2018 Tewaaraton Award winner Ben Reeves.
Â
• Next up for Brandau is the pursuit of all-time Ivy League records. His 192 career goals are the second most in Ivy history, trailing only Brown's Dylan Molloy (197). Brandau's 345 career points are also second in league history. Cornell's Rob Pannell (354) is the all-time leader.
Â
• First year
Cole Cashion, who had his first career hat trick on Tuesday at Hofstra, has five goals in the last two games.
Â
•
David Anderson also has been a significant offensive contributor. He has scored at least two goals in each of the last six games, including matching his career high with five at Dartmouth.
Â
•
Patrick Pisano (2nd, 1.5) and
Jack Stuzin (4th, 1.45) are both among the Ivy League leaders in caused turnovers per game.
Â
• Yale is second in the nation in scoring offense (16.50) and ground balls per game (39.08) and fifth in face-off winning percentage (.595).
Â
• The Bulldogs are 4-0 at Reese Stadium this season.
Â
• Last year in New York, Brandau and
Thomas Bragg each had two goals and an assist as Yale knocked off UAlbany 14-6

SCOUTING UALBANY
Â
The Great Danes (5-6) have won three of their last four games and are 4-1 in America East play. Yale is the second Ivy League opponent for UAlbany, who fell 11-7 at Penn back on Feb. 20. Friday is the start of a busy weekend for the Great Danes, who are at Merrimack on Sunday. Tewaaraton Award nominee Jake Piseno is a two-way threat. He sits second in the NCAA with 2.64 caused turnovers per game and is eighth in the America East with 4.55 ground balls per game. The LSM has scored nine goals this season, scoring in seven of 11 games played. Silas Richmond leads the Great Danes in scoring with 31 goals, averaging 2.82 per contest. That mark puts him second in the conference and 18th in the NCAA.Â
