BETHEL, Ohio – For the sixth straight season, Yale is one of the top-10 women's crews in the nation. The Bulldogs' three boats accumulated 88 points to finish eighth in a 22-team field on a rainy final day of the NCAA Championship on Harsha Lake.
"I think as a team eighth was a good place for us to land this year," said
Will Porter, The Friends of YWC Head Coach of the Bulldogs. "We're young and we have a lot coming back next year. You always want to do better, but that is about where we belong."
The varsity four was Yale's top finisher, placing fourth in the grand final. The second varsity eight finished fifth in the grand final and the varsity eight was sixth in the petite final.
It was the 20th top-10 finish all-time for the Bulldogs, who were competing in the national championship for the 21st time in the last 22 seasons.

Texas won the NCAA title for the third time in the last four years with 130 points, edging second-place Stanford (127) by three points. Tennessee (118) was third followed by Princeton (112), Washington (106), Brown (99) and Michigan (90). California (9th, 84) and Penn (77) rounded out the top-10.

"I'm very pleased," said assistant coach
