Box Score HEMPSTEAD, N.Y. – In its season opener, the Yale women's soccer team fell to CAA opponent, Hofstra, 2-1, at the Hofstra Soccer Stadium.
Rookie
Reagan Exley recorded her first collegiate point with a second half goal that split the Pride's lead in half. The Bulldogs had a chance late in the game, but Hofstra's keeper kept them off the board.

"Disappointing performance from us as I think we started the game very slow and it took about 65 minutes to start playing our game," said
Sarah Martinez, Loring Family Head Coach. "Once we did, we started seeing a little bit of our identity, and even had a chance to equalize late in the game. As I said to our group – today is the beginning of our season, not the entirety of it. As we learn about ourselves, we need to be reflective, but move on quickly towards a good St. John's team at home on Wednesday."
