NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Following a thrilling road win at Princeton, junior defender
Alex Chang of the Yale women's soccer team has been tabbed Ivy League Defensive Player of the Week, the league announced on Monday afternoon.
Chang led a Yale back line that shut out the Tigers, 1-0, and held Princeton to just one shot on goal during the game. Additionally, the Frisco, Texas native tallied the game-winning goal in the victory, a soaring 30-yard shot that led the Bulldogs to their first conference win of the season.
Chang and the Bulldogs will return to the field on Sunday, hosting Harvard for an ESPNU-televised clash scheduled for 3 p.m.
