COLUMBUS, OHIO –
Nick Finch of the Yale men's swimming and diving team won the 100-yard butterfly as the Bulldogs continued their strong showing on day two of the Ohio State Invitational on Wednesday at McCorkle Aquatic Pavilion.
Finch turned in an impressive performance, finishing first with a time of 44.62 seconds in a highly competitive field of swimmers.
The Results
- 400-yard IM:
- Elliot Lee finished the B final with a time of 3:53.23.
- Kavin Li improved to sixth in program history in this event after finishing 3:49.79 in the C final.
- 100-yard Fly: Finch won the event with a time of 44.62.
- 200-yard Freestyle:
- 100-yard Breaststroke:
- Charlie Egeland had a sixth-place finish in the A final with a time of 52.23.
- Jake Wang was first in the B final (52.56), improving to second in program history in this event; Alexander Hazlett was third (52.91), and Nareg Minassian was fourth (53.01), moving up to fifth in program history.
- 200-yard Freestyle Relay: The quartet of Finch, Wang, Minassian, and Nurkic Kacapor finished sixth with a time of 1:17.43. Additionally, the B team of Kuljus, Deniel Nankov, Hazlett, and Lucius Brown finished in 1:19.40.
