Yale Staff Named NFHCA Mideast Region Coaching Staff of the Year

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Yale field hockey coaching staff has been named Mideast Region Coaching Staff of the Year by the NFHCA. The organization announced the honor Friday.
 
Yale's staff includes:  
The staff led Yale to a No. 12 ranking in the national polls along with the team's first appearance in the NCAA Tournament and first appearance in the Ivy League Tournament. The Bulldogs went 12-6 overall (4-3 Ivy League, tied for third). That included a six-game winning streak, the team's longest since 2011.
 
This was the fourth season at Yale for Gonzalez and Kiddoo, and the second for Bressler.

In addition to the Yale staff's honor, former Yale field hockey player Georgia Holland '14 was honored as part of the NFHCA West Region Coaching Staff of the Year at Northwestern. She helped lead the Wildcats to their second straight NCAA Championship.
 
For regional awards, Division I teams are separated into five regions: Mid-Atlantic, Mideast, Northeast, South and West. Each of the coaching staffs that were honored were selected by a majority vote of their regional colleagues.The national coaching staff of the year will be announced in January.
