Men's Fencing Competes at NCAA Championships

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- Three members of the Yale men's fencing team competed at the 2025 NCAA Championships on Thursday and Friday at Penn State University. After two days of competition, the Bulldogs placed ninth overall out of 26 teams. 

Jordan Silberzweig was Yale's top performer, placing 10th in saber. First year Castor Kao finished 14th in foil and Tony Whelan placed 16th in epee. 

Silberzweig was named a Honorable Mention All-American as a result of his finish. 

The Yale women's team will compete next, beginning on Saturday.
