SPRINGFIELD, Pa. – The Yale men's golf team claimed victory at the Columbia Spring Invitational, hosted by Columbia at the Rolling Green Golf Course.
How It Happened
- The Bulldogs secured the top spot with a two-round total of 567 (286-281), finishing at +7 over par. Arkansas placed second with a score of 571 (289-282), while Ivy League rival Dartmouth rounded out the top three at 584 (297-287).
- First-year Matthew Lin was one of the tournament's standout performers, tying for first place with Arkansas' John Daly II and Dartmouth's Tyler Brand. Each golfer carded a 70 in the first round and a 69 in the second, finishing with a total of 139, one under par.
- Out of a field of 72 golfers, Yale had three additional top-10 finishers. Blake Brantley posted a 142 to secure fifth place, while Sam Davis finished sixth with a score of 143. Will Lodge tied for 10th with a 146 (73-73). Andrew Stickel also had a strong showing, tying for 16th with a 147 (77-70).
- Competing as an individual, Ben Carpenter finished 21st with a total of 148 (75-73).
